One evening at a country inn an hour west of Montréal. Come for the ceremony, stay for the dinner, and if the drive is long, stay the night — there are rooms on site.

The place

Auberge des Gallant

A family-run inn, restaurant and spa set on a wooded property on the slopes of Rigaud Mountain, roughly halfway between Montréal and Ottawa. Gardens, a maple sugar shack, and forty-one rooms upstairs.

Entirely doable if you have a driver who is not drinking. If that is the plan, tell us anyway so we do not hold a room you will not use.
